Ft. Lauderdale is one of the best spots for sportfishing on the East Coast. We only have to go 1-2 miles offshore to catch that fish of a lifetime.

Ft. Lauderdale has some of the finest sportfishing available. Our waters are home to some of the most sought after gamefish in the world. We fish for sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, sharks, snapper and grouper (just to mention a few). If there is a particular fish you are after, just let Capt. Mark know and he will target that species.

With the crew of the FANNTASTIC, its not just another day of fishing, this is our passion. Whether this is your first time sportfishing or you would just like to learn a new technique, we’d love to share our knowledge with you.

We encourage family fishing. Women and children are always welcome here at FANNTASTIC. We offer a variety of sportfishing charters. We have half day (4 hour), 3⁄4 day (6 hour) and all day (8 hour) trips available. We also offer swordfish trips, Bahamas trips and sightseeing trips. We can arrange corporate charters with multiple boats if needed. We also offer all-inclusive packages which include food, beverage, continental breakfast on the morning charters or snacks for the afternoon charter.

Your fishing adventure:
On the day of your charter, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your trip time. This will give everyone a chance to get acquainted and time to discuss the types of fish you are interested in catching, whether fish for dinner or your fish of a lifetime. On the ride out, which takes about 20 minutes, the FANNTASTIC has plenty of room on the bridge to ride with Capt. Mark or you may choose to sit inside in the fully custom, air conditioned salon. Once in the ocean we usually stop to catch live bait. Capt. Mark does not count the time used catching live bait against your trip time. After catching the bait, its time to go for that fish of a lifetime. Once back at the dock, we will clean your fish for you.

During your trip Capt. Mark will use a variety of fishing techniques, depending on weather and species sought. He may troll for dolphin, wahoo or king mackeral; kite fishing for sailfish and even deep dropping for those snapper and groupers. These are just of few of the many ways that we fish. We will do “whatever it takes” to make this a fishing experience of a lifetime.

We’ll do “whatever it takes” to give you a “FANNTASTIC” fishing experience. Capt. Mark is a Florida native with over 30 years of local knowledge and experience. An experience of a lifetime awaits you.

The FANNTASTIC is a 50’ custom Hatteras sportfish. She is a fully rigged “fishing machine” on the outside and features all the comforts of home on the inside. The FANNTASTIC is the finest and cleanest sportfishing charter boat in Ft. Lauderdale. She is fully air-conditioned and features a large, luxurious salon with leather couches, flat screen TVs, complete sound system, dining area, full kitchen, two staterooms and two spotless bathrooms.

The FANNTASTIC features a drug and alcohol free crew (we believe only the customers should be drinking).

Capt. Mark uses both Penn and Shimmano tackle and all the rods are custom built for fishing in South Florida. She has twin Detroit diesels with 650 hp each. Electronics by Northstar and Furuno. Two GPS and fish finders. She is a USCG documented vessel with all safety equipment.

Departure times:

• 4 hour trips: 8 am and 1 pm
• 6 hour trips: 7 am and 1 pm
• 8 hour trips: 7 am or 8 am

The times listed above are generally when we go, but we will do “whatever it takes”, so if you need different times to fit your schedule, just let us know.

Saltwater Fishing Rates
Rates are based on a maximum of 6 people (by law we can only take six passengers. If your party is larger, we can arrange for as many additional boats as needed)

Standard Packages:

• Half day trip (4 hours) $550
• 3⁄4 day trip (6 hours) $750
• Full day trip (8 hours) $1000

All rates include soda, water, licenses, dead baits, certain live baits*, tackle and parking
(*certain live baits cannot be caught during trip and are sold at a cost of $75 per dozen)

All-Inclusive Packages:

• Half day trip (4 hours) $600
• 3⁄4 day trip (6 hours) $800
• Full day trip (8 hours) $1050

The all-inclusive packages include all of the standard package plus food and beer (just let us know prior to your trip what you would prefer and it will be waiting for you upon arrival).
