Q
– Do you have dealers in my area?
A – We supply any RV dealership. You may choose
any RV dealer close to you. If they are not familiar
with Fiamma products, you may have them contact
us and we will supply them with the required information
in order to place an order with Fiamma Inc.
Q
– Can I purchase parts and awnings directly
from Fiamma?
A – Yes. We sell our products through Dealers.
It is recommended that you ask your local dealer
first and they in turn can proceed to place your
order with Fiamma Inc. (Dealers – please refer
to our Dealers Only link
for ordering information). If your local dealer
is not equipped, you may place your order through
our online order form.
Q
– What information do I need before calling
to order parts?
A – We have several models of the F45 awnings
and need to know which model you have. The model
will be on the Fiamma decal located on the front
lead rail of the awning (example: F45 Plus, F45i).
We also need to know the length of your awning.
With the awning closed, measure the complete length
of the awning including the plastic end caps from
the outside of one end cap to the outside of the
other end cap. You may refer to our service
link to view our spare parts catalog online
and then proceed to fill out our online order form.
Q
– Is there a minimum order required?
A – No. There is a minimum UPS shipping charge
of $7.00.
Q
– Do you install or repair awnings at your
facility?
A – No, but we have a local dealer that installs
and repairs our awnings for us.
Q
– What is the difference between the F45i
awning and F35 Pro awning?
A – The F45i awning is our top of the line,
easy to operate awning. It is operated by turning
a crank handle on one end to extend and retract
the awning. The F35 Pro awning has a smaller diameter
case, is less expensive and weighs less. The operation
is manual and requires rolling the fabric in and
out by hand.
Q
– Do you have a “Florida Room”
that attaches to your awnings?
A – Yes. We have a “Florida Room”
that attaches to our 8’4”, 10’,
11’8” and 13’4” awnings.
Also, we can special order a “Florida Room”
for our 14’8” awning. The Florida Room
front panel has a clear vinyl window with screen
and curtains. The front door can be positioned on
either the right or left side of the room. Both
side panels have clear vinyl windows that can be
rolled up to allow air to move through the screen.
Q
– Is there a floor included with the “Florida
Room”?
A – No. These are readily available at any
RV store.
Q
– Does your “Florida Room” attach
to A & E’s Horizon awning?
A – Yes. We manufacture the Horizon awning
for A & E. All of the parts are identical except
for the fabric.
Q
– Do your awnings have support legs?
A – Yes. Support legs are included with all
of our awnings from the 8’4” and longer.
They are attached permanently to the awning and
fold up inside of the housing when the awning is
closed. Our Executive and Eagle awnings are self
supporting and do not include support legs.
Q
– Do the support legs go straight down to
the ground or back to the vehicle?
A – The support legs can be secured to the
ground or back to the vehicle by attaching them
into the wall mounting bracket kit that is included
with the awning.
Q
– Do Fiamma awnings include a center rafter?
A – Not all. All of our awnings from 10 feet
and longer include the center rafter. They are optional
for the 8’4” awning and are not needed
on lengths 7’2” or shorter.
Q
– How far can I extend the awning?
A – You can roll the awning out all the way
or stop at any distance you prefer. When the awning
is fully extended the fabric will sag, just roll
it back in about one turn.
Q
– Do the spring loaded lateral arms underneath
the fabric straighten completely?
A – No. The lateral arms were designed to
have a slight bend even when the awning is fully
extended. DO NOT TRY TO PUSH ON THE LATERAL ARMS
TO ATTEMPT TO STRAIGHTEN THEM WHEN THE AWNING IS
FULLY EXTENDED. This will damage the arms and your
awning will not close properly.
Q
– Do you have tie-down kits to help secure
the awning in moderate winds?
A – Yes. We recommend for added security you
use a tie-down or similar kit. Stakes are provided
to hold the legs down in light winds. Tie-down kits
help hold the awning down in moderate winds. We
strongly recommend that you close your awning in
strong winds or storms. Strong winds can damage
your awning and possibly result in damage to your
vehicle.
Q
– Can I use my awning to protect me from the
rain?
A – The awning is meant to shelter you from
the sun and moderate rains. Therefore, we recommend
closing the awning in case of strong winds, heavy
rains or snow. For moderate rain use the center
rafter and lower one leg to allow water run off.
Water pooling can stretch the fabric causing it
not to close properly. Stretched fabric due to water
pooling in these conditions is not covered under
warranty.
Q
– What can be used to clean my fabric?
A – You can use a mild dishwashing detergent.
If the fabric has become excessively soiled a mild
dishwashing detergent can be applied and the awning
rolled back in to allow the dirt to dissolve, usually
overnight, and rinsed off the next morning. Fiamma
also offers “BRILL”, a degreasing detergent
for awnings.
Q
– What maintenance should I perform on my
awning?
A – We recommend lubricating all of the moving
joints such as the elbows of the lateral arms and
the swivel joints at the top of the legs with WD
40 or similar product about every six months.
