Fish Reports December 2001

1st-7th What a great week of fishing! We did real wel with sailfish this week. Monday we caught a ten pound sailfish and a forty pound king mackerel, isnt that supposed to be the other way around? We also caught a couple of sails on wednesday and Friday. In some stiff Ne windas on thursday we caught some big dolphin althugh the sailfish eluded us. For some reason we couldnt find anyone to go fishing on the weekend so we stated at the dock. Lots of good cold ones this week! Hope to see you soon Sailfish season is truly hear!

8th-14th Sailfish are biting still! We had Tony Griswold and crew in town for the Colts game, sorry Tony. He did manage to catch and release a nice sailfish though. We also had some wahoo action out on the weed lines in 350 feet. Black groupers have shown up on the deep water wreaKS in the area. These dont come too often to the fort lauderdale area and we love to get em while we can. Expect to do some bottom fishing and some sailfishing with us in the upcoming days.

15th-21st Business was very slow this week but we got out there a few tripsa and caught some dolphin. We actually did pretty well on them mostly just outside the reef or right on it in 100-200 feet of water. Sailfishing was a little slower this week. I guess they are getting ready for x-mass too.

22nd-31st Wow x-mass already! That means Im up in NJ for a few days with the familly. Taco held up the fort in fort lauderdaleand I returned the day after christmass. Some large golden amberjacks moved onto the wreaks this week and we spent some time with the rods bent way over for our customers. The week after xmass is one of our most busy all year. Also biting well were dolphin this week with some pretty impressive catches. The sailfishing turned on thursday and on friday we had Thomas Cannon on board to bring his first one to the boat, STUD! Happy New Year Everyone!!!!! Im going to try and go back to a daily format in 2002-See Ya, Time for a cold one!!!!!!
