Island
This long sliver of land,
48 miles in length, is known for its breathtaking
scenery and pristine beaches. One of the highest
islands in The Bahamas, the island’s economy
is dominated by its produce farms, which ship
tomatoes, pineapples, peas, bananas, and watermelons
to the Nassau market. The surviving remnants of
several large plantations can still be seen. The
distance from Port Dania to Cat Island is approximately
280 miles and G&G schedules biweekly visits.
