We suggest using some of the following companies or boats to book your British Virgin Island sailing charter. You can usually choose from 4 times of the year to charter; peak, low, and 2 mid seasons. Some companies offer more. Basically, it all has to do with how much you will pay for your boat.

Preparing for your crewed sailboat charters trip
Depending on the size of your charter yacht, you may have only a captain, captain and first mate or captain with crew. Most of us sailing and on smaller power charters will have a Captain and First Mate. You can usually expect to have the meals and beverages in included in the price. Be sure to discuss that before booking!

In sailing, you can help the captain or just sit back. The first mate will prepare 2-3 meals a day, and possibly a late nite snack. They are not servants, don’t expect them to rub suntan lotion on your hairy back. Be realistic in your requests. If you want hot towels handed to you as you get out of the water, you better be on 110’ boat, with crew of 6.

Once again, discuss with the crew what is included in their services. You will find they all have a personal style. Find one you feel comfortable with. Also, if you are planning to go nude, definitely ask if that is ok.

How and what you pack will directly related to the size of sailboat you are chartering. If you are chartering a 65’ boat, be sure to pack about the same if you were bareboating. However, powerboats of that size might offer a little extra storage, ask the charter company what they suggest for that particular.

The best thing to do if you aren’t sure is to ask. If you are going to sea for 7-10 or even 14 days, make sure you are going on the right crewed sailboat charter with the right crew.
